General Information. MBA- Funded Awards. Friends and alumni of Regent University have graciously funded ten financial awards for students in the School of Business & Leadership's Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. These annual awards range from $5. MBA in the fall, spring or summer semesters. Nominations for these awards are confidential; therefore, only award recipients will be notified. Students applying for entry into the MBA program are considered for a full academic year of enrollment, which is considered to be the fall, spring and summer semesters. Although financial awards are made for one academic year, only students receiving an award are given preference in consideration for subsequent awards. Each award is given based on a presumed number of credit hours per semester. If a student receives an award and then reduces his or her enrolled credits, the amount of the award will be reduced according to the percentage of credits below the presumed number of credit hours. Students who receive a funded award will be asked to write a letter of acknowledgement and thanks to the donor. Information will be provided to each scholarship recipient at the time of the award. Regent University's Office of Advancement requires that the letter be received by their office before the funded award monies are transferred to the student's account. While no financial award carries with it an encumbrance to contribute back to Regent, all students are asked to consider the generosity of Regent friends and alumni who have supported the university financially and to, likewise, become supporters of the university after graduation. Program admission review committees look for specific mission- alignment and fit and may offer a limited number of SBL- funded scholarships to applicants as a means of supporting the education and development of current and future leaders around the world. The number and value of the scholarships vary from year to year as funds are available. Each program's application review committee considers the mission- alignment and fit during the application review process and determines if an award may be offered. The School of Business & Leadership will award a limited number of need- based awards to students who can demonstrate need as evidenced by a completed financial condition statement on the School of Business & Leadership Financial Aid Application. Regent Business & Leadership Need- Based Grants are awarded at the discretion of the Financial Aid Committee and may be influenced by other scholarships and the student's employment status. Students who wish to be considered for need- based assistance will be required to document that they have also sought other self- help funds, namely, student loans. These grants are last- dollar funds and typically only go to students experiencing extreme hardship or those who have exhausted all other sources of funding, including student loans. Students who wish to be considered must be an active, full- time, degree- seeking student in the School of Business & Leadership and submit the SBL Financial Aid Application.
